Environmental sustainability represents a strategic priority for SEPI Group’s companies

SEPI Group’s environmental effort amounted to 75.5 M€ in 2024, of which 20 M€ were applied to investments for future improvements, while 54 M€ were employed in green actions and projects.

SEPI Group deals with environmental sustainability as a long-term strategic priority. From its institutional dimension, it translates ESG criteria to all the value chain and exerts a tractor effect on suppliers, partners and customers.  

With the aim of reinforcing this approach, the Group is introducing measurement and control tools which allow to identify impacts, assess risks and opportunities, and set goals based on verifiable data.

Its environmental measures seek not only to meet the regulatory requirements in force, but also to anticipate future challenges and to actively contribute to a greener, more resilient and competitive economy.

SEPI Group’s environmental policy

The guiding environmental principles of the Sustainability Policy are:

  • Promoting a circular economy within the Group. Maintaining the value of products and of resources as long as possible, minimizing waste, and taking advantage of that which cannot be prevented.
  • Assuming a proactive climate commitment. Aligning the corporate goals with the Paris Agreement and implementing mitigation and adaptation measures.
  • Increasing respect to the natural environment and biodiversity. Reducing the environmental impacts of the activities, protecting the natural heritage and biodiversity, and promoting environmental education and information.
  • Guaranteeing energy security and resilience. Supplying energy in a sustainable and economic way, promoting a just transition which takes into account people and communities.
  • Preserving the water as a critical natural resource. Promoting actions for an efficient and responsible management of water and ecosystems.
