Our activities contribute to the economic and social recovery
Corporate promotion
SEPI performs an intense work on corporate promotion and development, with activities which contribute to the economic and social recovery of those areas in Spain which feature a low industrial activity. With this line of action, new investment and economic growth sites are promoted through the transformation of these areas.
With the aim of fostering the setup of new corporate entities, SEPI carries out three basic activities:
- Removal of the remains of the former industries or mining activities, and the cleaning up of the sites.
- Development of the infrastructures required for setting up modern business parks equipped with the most advanced services and equipment.
- Raising new investment focused on job generation and on the industrial diversification of each region.
These actions mostly take place on the areas which suffered the industrial and mining reorganization in the 1970s and 1980s.
The policy of economic reactivation is focused on a balanced regional development, which does not depend on the public sector, and which SEPI carries out through Grupo SEPIDES. Its activities within this area are focused on two business lines:
- Real estate promotion: development of business parks.
- Corporate promotion: project financing, either directly or through jointly participated funds and investment companies.
