TRAGSA, committed with the prevention of accidents at work
The entity which collaborates with the Spanish Social Security System, Fraternidad-Muprespa awarded on June 21st, one Diploma in recognition for the Bonus 2013 for its good practice in preventing accidents at work in Madrid to the Spanish companies which are committed in reducing accidents at work. Among the companies which received this prize was Grupo TRAGSA.
This prize is awarded by the General Directorate for Regulation at the Social Security, after checking that the requirements envisaged in the norms regarding the social security issue were met.
The General Secretary, Mr. José Manuel Diez Quintanilla, was the person who collected the diploma during the ceremony which took place in Madrid. The event was attended also by Ms. Lourdes Meléndez, General Deputy Director for Entities which collaborate with the Social Security; Mr. Antero Fernández de la Mela, General Secretary; Ms. Natalia Fernández Laviada, General Deputy Director for Prevention, Quality and Communication, and by Mr. Esteban Mate, General Deputy Director for Management, managers of Fraternidad-Muprespa.
The diploma is regarded as a public acknowledgment for those companies which have contributed with efficacy to reducing the number of accidents at work, with measurable investments in preventing accidents at the workplace and which have implemented effective measures for preventing the happening of accidents at work and of professional illnesses.
TRAGSA and Grupo SEPI
Grupo TRAGSA is part of Grupo SEPI, a corporate holding which includes a total of 16 state-owned companies in which it has direct, majority shareholding participations, with a workforce of around 73,000 professionals in 2014; the Spanish state-owned television and radio corporation, Corporación Radiotelevisión Española, which is attached to SEPI, and one public foundation. Equally, SEPI has direct minority shareholdings in a further ten companies, and indirect shareholdings in more than one hundred companies.
