Japanese engineers travel to Zorita in order to know about the dismantling work carried out by ENRESA
A group of engineers from different organisms, professional associations and companies belonging to the Japanese nuclear industry has visited the dismantling works which are being carried out by ENRESA at the nuclear power station “José Cabrera” (Almonacid de Zorita, Guadalajara). The visit takes place as part of a study tour which these professionals are making through Spain, France and Germany with the purpose of getting to know how nuclear facilities are dismantled in different European Union countries.
At Zorita, the visitors have had the opportunity of knowing first-hand how the work is being performed, with a special focus on those which are being carried out now at the containment building at the facility in which – in just a few months – work will begin on the segmentation and preparation of the reactor’s vessel.
The group which visited the nuclear power station “José Cabrera” belongs to the Japan Engineers Federation (JEF), a Tokyo-based international organization whose mission is focused on the exchange, interaction and set up of working networks among engineers and professionals from different fields and areas.
