INFORMATION ABOUT ENUSA GROUP

Enusa develops three business lines:

Firstly, its traditional activity, which is linked to the first stage of the nuclear fuel cycle, and which involves the supply of enriched uranium, required for operating nuclear power stations; here it acts as the purchasing pool for the Spanish electricity companies. Besides, it designs and manufactures fuel components for Spanish and international nuclear power stations, and provides engineering and fuel handling and inspection services to the power stations.

Secondly, Enusa's Environmental Area carries out landscape restoration services for industry and public works. Equally, through its affiliated company TECONMA, it carries out activities for the Environment protection and the reduction of the environmental impact, thanks to the technologies applied to environmental protection in civil works; and through the affiliated company EMGRISA it handles industrial waste and is in charge of analyzing and treating polluted soils.

Finally, since the 1990s, Enusa has been developing a diversification policy, which is the result of its long experience and large technological potential. At the moment, it has three industrial affiliated companies: ETSA and Enusegur (which operate in the transport of dangerous cargo, or which entail a high responsibility), and Molypharma (radio-pharmacy and the production of PET radio-pharmaceutical products).

All these companies, together with the parent company Enusa Industrias Avanzadas and the environmental affiliated companies TECONMA and EMGRISA, make the Grupo Enusa. www.grupoenusa.es

Information regarding the financial year 2009:

During the financial year 2009, the fuel area has recorded a significant business level, with a workload of 326 Uranium tons. In total, at the end of 2009, Enusa has reached a total production of 5,000 t U accumulated during the 25 years in which the factory has been operating. A total of 540 PWR type and 457 BWR type fuel components have been manufactured.

In 2009 it won the award for the supply of fuel components, through GENUSA, for the Swedish nuclear power stations of Ringhals, Forsmark and Oskarshamn. In the area of engineering and fuel services it has provided a very important support, basically for the Spanish nuclear power stations, as during that year took place the recharge of seven reactors, with an important participation in areas linked to the handling of fresh and irradiated fuel.

Finally, it is worthwhile to mention within the scope of the internalization of the Company, the agreements concluded with the Japanese company MHI and the South Korean company KNF for carrying out joint technological projects, and the beginning of the activities of the Economic Interests Group, the Spanish Nuclear Group for China (AIE-SNGC) with the goal of supplying equipment and services for the Chinese market, together with our partners ENSA, Ringo Válvulas and TECNATOM.

In 2009 the Environmental Center at Ciudad Rodrigo concluded the reforestation of all the surface included in the restoration project, which reached a total of 250 hectares. No significant land movements took place during this project.

Regarding the activities carried out by Enusa's Technical Environmental Bureau, a number of radiological studies related to NORM materials have been carried out. Technical collaboration has been provided for the development of the project for the management of urban solid waste Zona I in Castellón, as well as for the restoration work being carried out in the mines of Cala (Huelva), while the surveillance program for old uranium mines has continued (PRAMU CyL, FUA, La Haba).

In the New Developments Area, work has been carried out on the administrative authorizations, change of land use, basic project, electrical connection, environmental impact study, contracts for waste supply and the selection of the supplier for the biogas power plant at Juzbado. Besides, the feasibility studies for setting up 2 other power plants have been made.

Regarding the affiliated companies which operate in the environmental business, mention must be made to the incorporation of the company EMGRISA as a tool and technical service for the Administration and for other public-sector entities, for performing studies for soil analysis and soil decontamination. Meanwhile, TECONMA has continued carrying out its activities in public works and environmental engineering. It has also secured the authorizations required for beginning the building of the urban solid waste treatment plant in Castellón province. Such plant will have a cutting edge technology, which we hope will be progressively incorporated in other plants.

As for the industrial participations, ETSA, the company which operates in the dangerous cargo business, continues to grow and increasing its turnover, both in Spain and in Central Europe. As for Molypharma, it continues leading the business of radio-pharmaceutical products in Spain, thanks to IBA, with a market share of more than 50%.
