The Grupo SEPI had a 607 Million Euros profit on the third quarter of the financial year 2005

The consolidated profit of the Grupo SEPI has amounted, during the third quarter of this financial year, to 607 Million Euros. Most of it corresponds to the disinvestments made of 8.5% in Red Eléctrica, of 5.06% in Aldeasa and 2.08% in Altadis (419 Million Euros).

The individual result corresponding to the company SEPI amounts to 584 Million euros, a figure which does not include the effect from the calculation of the provisions for the equity portfolio, nor the consolidated company tax, which would result in a profit for the amount of 217 Million Euros. On the other hand, both effects were taken into account in the profits for the consolidated Group.

The operating income for the Grupo SEPI, on September 30th, 2005, amounted to 1,645.2 Million Euros, which were provided basically by the Grupo Tragsa (32%), Navantia (30%) and by Grupo Enusa (12%). Regarding the orders registered by the companies which make up the Group, it is worthwhile to single out the 673 Million Euros recorded by the Grupo Tragsa; the 587 Million Euros recorded by Navantia, which include 213 Million Euros for the BAC for the Spanish Navy; the Grupo Enusa, with 76 Million Euros and the Grupo Ensa whose orders amounted to 54 Million Euros.

The Group´s total workforce at the end of this period amounts to 29,117 employees, of which 52% belong to the Grupo Tragsa, 19% to Navantia and 12% to the Grupo Hunosa.

Among the more relevant events it must be highlighted that on June 21st, 2005, SEPI notified to the publicly listed company Ebro Puleva, S.A. that Alycesa, in which SEPI has a 91.6% stake, will not appeal the sentence issued on June 6th, 2005 by the Audiencia Provincial de Madrid (Madrid´s principal court), and which confirms that issued on March 31st, 2003 by the First Instance Court number 21, also of Madrid, and which sentenced Alycesa to execute the acquisition of the stake which the Grupo Torras, S.A. had in Ebro Puleva, S.A. according to that contemplated by the call and put option Contract subscribed on December 20th, 1997 between Alycesa and the Grupo Torras, S.A.
