SEPIDES finances the projects of 11 companies from the Fund for Dependency Support in the bid for 2010

The loans granted amount in total to 23.2 Million Euros, and will be used for the creation, expansion or adaptation of the facilities or services which will care for older persons who present different dependency levels.
Shortly, SEPIDES will disclose the opening of the bid for 2011 of the Fund for Dependency Support, for which it has been earmarked 17 Million Euros.
SEPI Desarrollo Empresarial (SEPIDES), an affiliated company of the state-owned holding company SEPI, has awarded the Fund for Supporting the Promotion and Development of Infrastructures and Services of the System for the Autonomy and Care for Dependent Persons, in its bid for 2010, with the approval of 11 loans for as many companies, for a total amount of 23.3 Million Euros. Soon, the call for 2011 will be posted on SEPIDES' Web page.
For the bid for 2010, the Fund has had at its disposal a new endowment, which amounts to 17 Million Euros, which comes from the budget of the Ministry of Health and Social Policy and Equality, amount to which must be added the resources remaining from last bid.
This Fund, which has already been endowed with a total of 51 Million Euros, is managed by SEPIDES, and its goal is to provide financial support to those entrepreneurial initiative which seek to promote and develop infrastructure and service projects in the System for the Autonomy and Care of Dependent Persons, as it mobilizes more resources for a faster set up of the above system.
Successful bidders in the 2010 bid:
Intercentros Ballesol, S.A. an ordinary loan for the amount of 2 Million Euros, for the construction and management of a residential home with capacity for 80 persons in San Felices de Buelna (Cantabria) and for equipping and furbishing two residential units, with a total capacity for 168 persons in Villajoyosa (Alicante).
SAR Residencial y Asistencial, S.A. an ordinary loan for the amount of 4 Million Euros for refurbishing and equipping tow new residential and day-care facilities located in Cádiz and Aguilar de la Frontera (Córdoba), with capacity for 150 and 165 persons, respectively, for the refurbishment of two residential and day-care centers in Zaragoza and Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz),with a joint capacity for 302 persons, and for the construction in Seville of 24 flats with comprehensive services for users with different dependency levels.
Vitalia Plus, S.A. a participative loan for the amount of 4 Million Euros, for the construction and management of three residential and day-care centers, two of them in Lucena (Córdoba) and with a joint capacity for 250 persons, and one with a capacity for 210 persons and located in La Línea de la Concepción (Cádiz).
Geriátrico Manacor, S.A. an ordinary loan for the amount of 1.83 Million Euros, for the equipment and technical facilities for three residential and day-care centers with a total capacity for 410 persons in Manacor, Sant Joan and Pollença (Mallorca).
Valoriza Servicios a la Dependencia, S.L. an ordinary loan for the amount of 3 Million Euros for the expansion of its of in-house aid services, which are envisaged in its business plan, which contemplate providing services for approximately 5,000 persons.
Claros Canena, S.L. an ordinary loan for the amount of 1.5 Million Euros for the construction of a center for caring for dependent persons in Canena (Jaén), with capacity for 162 persons. The center will be managed by Claros Sociedad Cooperativa Andaluza de Interés Social.
Pro Maiorem Bahía S.L. an ordinary loan for the amount of 1.5 Million Euros for the construction and management of one residential and day-care center, with capacity for 193 persons, in Santander.
Promociones Hekania, S.L. a participative loan for the amount of 1.5 Million Euros for the construction of one health center with capacity for 266 persons in Logroño.
ENOC Corporación Geriátrica Toledo, S.L. a participative loan, for the amount of 1.5 Million Euros for the construction and management of one residential and day-care center with capacity for 200 persons, in Toledo.
Ibernex Ingeniería, S.L. an ordinary loan for the amount of 1 Million Euros, for developing technological solutions within the field of teleservice and the management of health centers.
Residencia Porto Cristo, S.L. a participative loan for the amount of .5 Million Eurosfor adapting, equipping and providing the technical equipment for a residential and day-care center, with capacity for 230 persons, in Manacor (Mallorca).
For selecting the projects, the Fund's Investment and Follow-up Committee has taken into account, inter alia, the financial and technical feasibility of each project and of its promoting company, its management capacity, the impact on employment, the level of public aid enjoyed by the facilities and their services, the multiplying effect of the loans to be granted, and the dates given for completing the projects.
The maximum period during which the Fund will be in force, 10 years, and the procedure and the terms and conditions applied in its management, as well as the financing selection, grant and control criteria, were set up in the Collaboration Agreement concluded by the Ministry of Economics and Finance, the Ministry of Health and Social Policy and SEPI, which thanks to this became a collaborating entity in the development of the Dependency Act. SEPI, entrusted the management of this Fund to its affiliated company SEPIDES, which is specialized in entrepreneurial promotion through the analysis and financing of corporate projects, as well as in managing similar funds.
