Award giving ceremony of the 34th series of the King of Spain International Journalism Prizes and of the 13th series of the Don Quixote Prize, in an event which took place at Casa de América. The ceremony, which was chaired by the Spanish King, was also attended by the President of the Spanish Lower House, Ms. Ana Pastor, by the Government’s Vice President, Ms. Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría, and by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mr. Alfonso Dastis.
In a ceremony organized at Correos’ main office at the Palacio de Cibeles, with occasion of the coming International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8th, the Chairwoman of the Spanish state-owned industrial holding Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI), Ms. Pilar Platero, expressed her satisfaction with the fact of her being the first woman to chair this state-owned enterprise.
In the coming weeks will begin the contacts with the Ministries and with the trade unions. On the other hand, during the meeting held this morning by the top level management body of this state-owned company, Mr. Roberto Bermúdez de Castro Mur, Deputy Secretary for Territorial Administrations, was appointed Director of SEPI’s Board of Directors.
SEPI is a public-law entity whose activities are subject to private law. It constitutes the SEPI Group, made up by 15 companies and a workforce of more than 73,000 professionals. SEPI also oversees a Fundation and has a direct minority participation in a further nine companies.
