SEPI is a public-law entity whose activities are subject to private law. It constitutes the SEPI Group, made up by 21 companies and approximately 32,000 employees, it oversees two Fundations and has a direct minority participation in a further 8 companies.

SEPIDES has awarded all Fund for Dependency in its call for bids in 2009, with the approval of 8 loans for as many companies. In February the call for bids for 2010 will be opened.

Mercasa and Mercapalma are organising the next World Union for Wholesale Markets Conference in April 2010 in Palma de Mallorca (Spain) to deal with the future of the sector.
