Australia takes delivery of NAVANTIA’s first vessel to be built abroad September 23rd, 2017 NAVANTIA delivered the vessel HMAS Hobart to the Royal Australian Navy in a ceremony which took place in Sidney and which was chaired by the Australian Prime Minister, Mr. Malcolm Turnbull. The vessel incorporates a fully-Spanish design and besides, NAVANTIA has managed its construction at the Adelaide’s shipyard. The Chairman of the Spanish shipbuilder, Mr. Esteban García Vilasánchez, pointed out that ‘this ship’s delivery constitutes an historical landmark for NAVANTIA’. Grupo SEPI increased its investments 35% in 2016 SEPI’s turnover amounted to 3,837 M€, of which 91% came from groups CORREOS, NAVANTIA, TRAGSA and ENUSA, according to the Annual Report for the financial year 2016. The order book at the end of the year reached 4,564 M€, 3.4% more than in the previous year. The Report includes an extensive information regarding the Group’s main activities and figures, among which also stands out the amount applied to investments: 157 M€, as well as the effort made in R&D, 90.4 M€.Grupo SEPI will record a turnover of 4,500 M€ in 2017 Spanish state-owned industrial holding company Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI) expects to reach this financial year a turnover of about 4,500 M€, mostly from the sales by its companies. This was stated by its Chairwoman, Mr. Pilar Platero, during the submission of Grupo SEPI’s budgets for 2017 at the Lower House of Parliament.
