This year edition has expanded the content devoted to the activities carried out by the companies of the SEPI Group in the Sustainability, Environment and Corporate Social Responsibility fields. During the financial year, a number of significant initiatives were carried out through SEPI's instrumental companies within the promotion and development framework.
As in the last few financial years, the Annual Report reviews the evolution followed by the companies which make up the SEPI Group, and also includes a relevant chapter regarding sustainability. During the financial year 2007, the SEPI Group has carried out or finished a number of the strategic programs which were designed at the beginning of the Government's term of office, especially in the shipbuilding and state-owned radio and television broadcasting industries.

In 2003 SEPI' s control portfolio was widened by the decision of the Council of Ministers meeting on February 21st, which decided to include the following companies and shareholding participations into SEPI: MERCASA (51%), TRAGSA (51%) and SAECA (80%). Equally, it was agreed the transfer to the portfolio of the Dirección General de Patrimonio of the 100% of EXPASA, as well as the 13,22% stake which SEPI had in ENISA. Besides, in 2003 two new companies were incorporated: Hipódromo de la Zarzuela and SEDETTUR.
Descriptive summary of the main activities carried out by SEPI and its affiliated companies during 2001. It must be noted the growth of SEPI's controlling portfolio, after the agreement reached by the Council of Ministers on that year, which supposed the transfer to SEPI of a number of companies which reported to the Dirección General del Patrimonio and to the Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Patrimoniales (SEPPA), which later was included into SEPI.
Memorandum of the activity developed by SEPI during the year 2000, as for the reformation functions and modernization of the Managerial Public sector of the State, relative to the financial rehabilitation and installation of future Plans in the participated companies that they require this way, the consolidation of competitive managerial projects and the administration of the privatization processes.
